You can connect a custom domain to your Synaps Media site in 2 ways:
- Setting a CNAME record in your domain registrar to point it to your
sitename.synaps.mediadomain. - Setting your domains's Name Server records to point Synaps Media nameservers.
If you set NS records, you start using the benefits of using Synaps Media's high performant and automatically managed DNS servers. Here are some benefits of using Synaps Media DNS servers:
- You'll get best possible DNS performance. Because Synaps Media DNS servers are highly integrated with our CDN network. This allows to point your visitors to the closest server with the fastest way.
- Once you connect a domain to Synaps Media DNS servers, upcoming records (like
www.subdomain or custom sending domain records), will be automatically and quickly arranged when needed. With CNAME approach, you'll need to add more DNS records on your registrar manually. - You can still add/edit custom DNS records for your custom domain running on Synaps Media DNS servers, thanks to Synaps Media Domain Manager on your panel.
