Questions about the MCP server
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools call actions in other services. Our MCP server is how a tool you’ve connected can work with your Synaps Media account and Ghost sites.
Do I have to use it?
No. It’s entirely optional. Until you connect an AI tool yourself, nothing can use it and nothing about your sites changes.
Does Synaps Media send my content to AI companies?
No. The MCP server only responds to authenticated requests from tools you’ve connected, and only within the permissions you set. It never sends data anywhere on its own.
Do I have to write in English?
No. Write in any language your AI tool understands. Whatever the language, the MCP server receives the same actions with the same permissions, and your assistant replies in your language.
Which permissions can I set?
Every action has its own permission, for panel actions and for Ghost site actions. You also choose which Ghost sites a connection can see. You can change these later or revoke the connection from your panel.
Which staff user does it act as?
By default, the Ghost staff user with the same email as your Synaps Media account. You can pick another one, or create a dedicated staff user for AI with a more limited role.
Does it cost extra?
No. It’s included with all plans, including free trials, at no extra cost.
