We’re excited to share a powerful update that gives you even more control over your brand’s presence: Custom Sending Domains are now fully self-service on the Synaps Media panel!

Previously, if you wanted to send newsletters from your own domain—like hello@yourdomain.com instead of the default your-site@synaps.media—you had to reach out to support. Not anymore!

Now, with just a few clicks, you can configure your Custom Sending Domain directly from your Synaps Media dashboard. This brings two big wins:

💡 Better Branding, More Flexibility

Use any sender address on your domain, perfectly matching your publication or campaign. This small change can make a big difference for brand trust and newsletter open rates.

⚙️ Seamless Setup—Especially with Synaps Media DNS

If your custom domain uses Synaps Media nameservers, setting up a custom sender is effortless. We automatically configure the required DNS records for you, and your domain will be ready to send within minutes.

One Small Note: When switching to a new sending address, email deliverability might be affected temporarily. Some of your recipients may see newsletters in their spam folder at first. This is expected as email providers take a little time to get used to your new sender identity. We recommend monitoring the first few campaigns after making the switch

🧪 Bonus: Meet the Domain Manager (Beta)

Want even more control over your domain settings? We’ve just released our Domain Manager in beta!

🔧 With it, you can:

  • View and edit DNS records for domains managed by Synaps Media
  • Add custom records (like MX for incoming mail or TXT for verification)

Whether you’re verifying your domain with a third-party service or setting up custom email routing, the Domain Manager puts the tools in your hands.

👉 This feature is currently in beta, so to try it out, head to your Account Settings and enable “Show Beta Features”. We’re actively polishing the interface and testing use cases, and we’d love your feedback as we prepare to launch it fully.

🔮 What’s Next: Social Web Is Coming Soon

Back in our recent customer survey, we asked you which features you’d love to see next—and we heard you loud and clear.

While Custom Sending Domain was the most requested (and is now live 🎉), the second most requested feature was Ghost’s new “Social Web” integration.

We’re happy to share that work has already begun!

This upcoming feature will make it easier for your Ghost site to connect and engage in the growing federated social ecosystem (like Mastodon and others), enhancing how your content reaches new audiences.
