Passwords are frustrating. They get forgotten, reused, and stolen. And even your strongest password is one phishing email away from being compromised.

We've always taken password security seriously — but why stop there? Today we're excited to roll out something better: **Passkeys are now available on Synaps Media.**

## What is a Passkey?

A [Passkey](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebAuthn?ref=synapsmedia.com) lets your device log you in using your fingerprint, face scan, or PIN — the same way you unlock your phone. There's no password to type, remember, or reset. Your device handles everything, and nothing sensitive is stored on our servers.

## Why we think you'll love it

- **Genuinely more secure** — Passkeys can't be phished, guessed, or leaked in a data breach

## Our recommendation: go fully passwordless

Password login isn't going anywhere. It still works, and you can keep using it if you prefer. But once you've set up a Passkey, we encourage you to take one extra step: remove your password entirely from **Account Settings**.

Going fully passwordless means there's no password left to steal. And if you ever lose access to your device, recovering your account is straightforward; just use the password reset flow to get back in, then set things up again.

### Getting started takes less than a minute

1. Log in to your Synaps Media panel
2. Go to **Account Settings → Security**
3. Click **"Add Passkey"** and follow the prompt
